Radar level sensor VC22

The radar level sensor VC22 is a wired sensor for continuous level measurement. The device emits a continuous radar signal via its antenna. The emitted signal is reflected by the product and received by the antenna as an echo. The frequency difference between the emitted and received signal is proportional to the distance and depends on the fill level. The fill level determined in this way is converted into a corresponding output signal and output as a measured value.

The wetted parts of the device are made of PVDF. This optimises the sensor for applications in the water/waste water sector. Protection class IP66/IP68 (3 bar) is achieved by the moulded cable gland.

Features Radar level sensor VC22

  • Measuring range: up to 15 m
  • Accuracy: ±2 mm

  • Process pressure: -1...+3 bar
  • Frequency: 80 GHz
  • Protection class: IP66/IP68 (3 bar) according to IEC 60529
  • Exact measurement results independent of medium, process and environmental conditions
  • Low overall height and reliable measurement even in case of flooding
  • Maintenance-free operation due to non-contact 80 GHz radar technology

Suitable accessories

  • Mounting bracket with adjustable sensor holding
  • Mounting bracket for ceiling mounting
  • Mounting angle with adjustable bracket

Area of application

Radar level sensor VC22 is the ideal sensor for non-contact level measurement in simple applications where a high degree of protection is required. It is particularly suitable for use in water treatment, pumping stations and rain overflow basins, for flow measurement in open channels and level monitoring. In bulk solids the sensors are used in small bulk solids silos or open containers.
