Weighing Transmitter Multi-Output ±10V, 4-20mA, 0-20mA

By deforming the strain gage its resistance value changes as well. This decrease or increase in the resistance value of a strain gage or a load cell often forms the output signal of the very same. As a rule, this change in resistance value can hardly be used by a control unit and must be converted accordingly into an electrical pulse. Weighing transmitters or strain gage measuring amplifiers perform this task.

Load and force pins from octogon offer the possibility - via an integrated measuring amplifier - to output the measured resistance change value directly as a current or voltage pulse. However, the output signal of the strain gage sensor is often processed by an external measuring amplifier. This means that it is not necessary to install the control unit in the immediate vicinity of the sensor, as the processed signal has a significantly greater range.
