The S-SILO-V system is a cost-effective, reliable and simple solution for weighing with load cells all large containers, especially when point-to-point level measurement by weight (gravimetric level measurement) is the main requirement.


The S-SILO-V system combines a fully welded and hermetically sealed stainless steel  low profile compression disc load cell with a compact galvanised steel or stainless steel mounting module. This is an ideal combination for applications in harsh environments that also require, for example, regular washdown cleaning. It is designed to operate at extreme temperatures in a range from -50 °C to +70 °C.


The module has integrated mounting screws that allow easy assembly even under load, while additionally guaranteeing lift-off protection. It is tolerant of misalignment, which can often occur with silos or other metal structures. S-SILO-V is suitable for use either as a fully tensioned system with load cells under all legs of the container to be weighed, but dummy load cells or swivel joints can also be fitted under one or more of the legs to optimise costs.

Application

For use in all ranges where weights of silos, tanks or vessels have to be measured. The assembly allows for cell installation and removal. It is capable of lift-off prevention and has allowance for angular mis-alignment.
