The S-Type force transducers with protection classes up to IP69k made of stainless steel and particularly suitable for measuring tension and pressure. The spring body of the load cell, S-Type is located in the middle bar. This metal piece made of stainless steel deforms under pressure and returns to its original shape when relieved. This deformation process is measured with a strain gage and converted into an electrical signal. The S-Type force transducer can be calibrated in weight or force units.

Area of application

The force transducer, S-Type is used in hybrid scales, silo scales, tensile force test machines, tank weighing, filling, dosing and mixing systems, crane scales, big bag scales, medical lifter scales and hanging container scales. They can also be found in tensile force test machines or in material fatigue testing systems. They are perfect for tension and compression applications.
